Precious rings stolen during Newport burglary

Hobsons Bay Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary at a home in Newport on 11 January that has left the victim devastated.

It’s believed an offender/s have entered the Newport property some-time between 1 January and 11 January.

The owner was not home at the time and came back to discover a number of items missing such as tools, electronics and collectable figurines.

The victim also noticed precious engagement and wedding rings belonging to his late wife were also missing.

The three rings have great sentimental value and two have “the luckiest” engraved in them.

Investigators have released a photograph of the stolen rings in the hope someone may recognise them.
