Residents can discover practical ways to live more sustainably at Project Planet, Bayside Council’s annual sustainability fair on Saturday 17 October at Cahil Park, Wolli Creek.
The popular community eco-fair brings together environmental organisations, sustainability experts, local businesses and community groups to share ideas, knowledge and hands-on solutions for reducing waste and living more sustainably.
Visitors can explore themed stalls, all-day drop-in activations, interactive workshops and panel discussions designed to inspire practical action towards a greener lifestyle. The event will feature dedicated Action Hub and Knowledge Hub spaces, providing access to expert advice, tools and resources that help reduce environmental footprints.
A highlight of this year’s program will be a special appearance by Costa the Garden Gnome from ABC TV, who will share his passion for gardening, sustainability and caring for the environment.
Project Planet will also feature a range of sustainability champions and exhibitors, including The Market Edit, Banish founder Lottie Dalziel, Paul West and River Cottage Australia.
Visitors will leave with practical tools, fresh knowledge and motivation to make meaningful changes at home while contributing to Bayside Council’s sustainability goals.
Bayside Mayor Christina Curry said:
