Following a request made to Council by local residents and community members, who raised concerns about road safety issues,
Council is considering a reduction in the speed limit on Ghin Ghin and Highlands Road between Granite Hills Rd and Old Saleyards
Lane, Highlands.
Community members are concerned the current 100 km per hour speed limit is too high for this 2.1 km section of road, which has
school bus collection points, the Highlands Public Hall and the CFA station located along it. In response to these concerns, we are proposing to reduce the speed limit to 80 km per hour.
