Police have revoked an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) in relation to a bushfire in North Road, Lower Beechmont.
The declaration was revoked at 12:45pm after emergency services contained the fire.
The PSPA was invoked at 7:00am and the declared zone included North Road and Freeman Road. Local residents have been permitted to return home.
Some sheds and outhouses have been damaged by fire.
There is significant smoke hazard in the area and people should reconsider the need to travel to area at this time.
