Public appeal: Assault occasioning bodily harm, Mermaid Beach

Police have released vision of a man they wish to speak with in relation to the assault of a man outside a Mermaid Beach bar on Saturday June 5, 2021.

Around 10.50pm, a 30-year-old man was standing in-line to enter the Nobby Beach premises when he was punched to the left-side of his face by a man who was not known to him.

The victim sustained injuries to his mouth including two broken teeth and a lacerated lip. He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.

The man fled by running across the Gold Coast Highway directly after the punch.

Investigations continue.
