Gold Coast police have declared an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) due to a fire in an industrial area at Molendinar.
Due to smoke and potential hazards, the PSPA was declared around 11.43am with an exclusion zone encompassing Precision Drive, Export Drive, Activity Crescent, Production Avenue and a nearby section of Smith Street.
Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and those within the exclusion zone are asked to remain indoors with their windows closed until further notice.
