Public Safety Preservation Act declaration at Rosewood

Police have made an emergency declaration under the Public Safety Preservation Act (PSPA) due to an ongoing incident in Rosewood.

Around yesterday (March 1) around 4.00pm officers attended a Blakes Road property to conduct a welfare check where the bodies of two people were located inside.

Preliminary investigations indicate the deaths are not suspicious, however police have identified a number of potential hazards within the home resulting in an exclusion zone being declared as a precaution.

The exclusion zone includes parts of Blakes Road and effected properties have already been evacuated with police road blocks in place. Members of the public are advised to avoid the area.

Due to the rural nature of the location, there is no risk to any other landholder in and around the area.
