Public Works Committee to examine Australian Federal Police accommodation works

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works announced that it will scrutinise a proposal from the Australian Federal Police to conduct building upgrade and fit-out works for new leased premises at 140 Lonsdale Street in Melbourne, Victoria.

The works will take place in a newly developed precinct in Melbourne’s central business district, with building works proposed to commence in late 2019. The total estimated cost of the project is $98.43 million, excluding GST.

The Committee would like to hear from all individuals or organisations interested in the inquiry. Submissions will be accepted until 22 March 2019.

NB the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works is not involved in the tendering process, the awarding of contracts or details of the proposed works. Enquiries on those matters should be addressed to the Australian Federal Police.
