Bayside Council is inviting the community to review the final design for the new Sir Joseph Banks Park Pump Track.
Following the first stage of community engagement, Council worked with specialist designers Common Ground Trails to develop a pump track that reflects community feedback and creates an exciting destination for riders of all ages and abilities.
The new pump track has been designed as an inclusive, welcoming and engaging space that supports riders as they develop their skills and confidence.
The final design features four interconnected riding zones, creating a seamless riding experience that encourages progression, active recreation and skill development:
- A Beginner Track providing a safe and enjoyable place to learn the basics
- An Intermediate Track for riders ready to build confidence and develop their skills
- An Advanced Track offering technical and challenging features for experienced riders
- Connected riding loops that integrate the entire facility into one cohesive experience
The project also includes a range of supporting improvements designed to enhance the experience for visitors including, landscaping and seating areas, improved pathways and accessibility, a dedicated spectator area, and spaces that encourage social connection and healthy outdoor activity.
These additions will help transform the site into a vibrant community destination that supports recreation, learning and outdoor fun.
Everyone who completes the survey will go into the draw to win a $500 bike shop voucher, helping them get ready to enjoy the new facility when it opens.
