Pursuit and arrest in Carindale, QLD

Police have arrested five juvenile males in connection with an armed robbery in Eight Mile Plains following a pursuit overnight.

Police will allege at 11.45 pm yesterday (October 14) two 15-year-olds and three 14-year-olds have forced entry to an address on Warrigal Avenue armed with knives.

They allegedly stole keys to two vehicles and have left the address in a stolen Nissan sedan.

Police sighted the vehicle in Macgregor around 1.50 am and followed the vehicle for several kilometres.

A short time later a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed at Creek Road, Carindale.

Four of the boys were arrested at the scene without incident.

A fifth boy allegedly fled and was located by the Dog Squad a short time later was taken into police custody.

The five were all charged with enter dwelling with intent, two counts of robbery with violence and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

One of the 14-year-olds was also charged with possess dangerous drug and evade police and another 14-year-old from the group was charged with receive tainted property and possess drug utensil.

All are due to appear in the Brisbane Children’s Court later today.
