Queensland coronavirus update as at 10 March

Three new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) have been confirmed in Queensland.

Details of the cases are:

  1. A 42-year-old female from the Sunshine Coast region with confirmed COVID-19 is in isolation in the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

    She is the partner of the 38-year-old woman with COVID-19, confirmed on 8 March 2020, who has recently travelled from London through Dubai.

  2. A 46-year-old female from Brisbane with confirmed COVID-19 is in isolation, in a stable condition in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

    She has recently travelled to Austria and France.

  3. A 22-year-old male from Brisbane with confirmed COVID-19 is in isolation, in a stable condition in The Prince Charles Hospital.

    He has recently travelled to Spain, Italy and France.

Contact tracing is underway for these three new cases, in addition to the previously confirmed cases. We will notify the community if any other public health alerts are required.
