Raptor Squad have released CCTV vision as part of an appeal into a public place shooting in Wollongong last month.
About 7am on Thursday 16 July 2026, police were called to a house on Booreea Boulevard, Cordeaux Heights, following reports of a shooting.
Officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District attended and found multiple shots were fired at a house.
Police were told around 6am that morning (Thursday 16 July 2026), two unknown men approached the front door of a home and allegedly struck a 54-year-old man in the face before leaving the scene in a silver station wagon.
The 54-year-old received minor injuries but did not require further treatment.
About an hour later, police will allege the silver hatchback returned and fired multiple shots at the house before leaving the scene.
The occupants of the house – two adults and a child – were uninjured.
Local police commenced initial inquiries before the investigation was handed to State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad under Strike Force Navalo.
As investigations continue, strike force detectives have released CCTV of two vehicles they believe may assist with their inquiries.
The vision depicts two vehicles – described as a silver station wagon and black hatchback – seen travelling on Heathcote Road, Heathcote, between 4:30am and 4:35am on Thursday 16 July 2026. Detectives allege the black hatchback was in convoy with the silver station wagon.
The same silver station wagon was seen travelling on London Drive, Figtree, between 5:28am and 5:30am on Thursday 16 July 2026.
The wagon was again seen travelling northbound on the Princes Highway, Figtree, between 6:55am and 7am on Thursday 16 July 2026.
