Raptor Squad charge Nomads OMCG member after police seized nine firearms, ammunition and a commercial quantity of prohibited drugs following raids on the state’s Central Coast earlier this year.

Strike Force Bancroft was established by the State Crime Command’s Raptor Squad to investigate the supply of drugs and possession of firearms by the Nomads Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG).

Following inquiries, Raptor Squad North officers conducted firearm prohibition orders (FPO’s) compliance checks at homes in Halekulani and Cameron Park, allegedly seizing privately manufactured firearm silencer and prohibited drugs.

About 9.30am on Tuesday 3 February 2026 officers were notified of a single vehicle crash on the Pacific Highway, San Remo, where a man was seen running from the scene with a black bag.

Officers with the assistance of the Dog Squad searched the area and found two black bags, allegedly containing a case with two pistols and a large amount of methylamphetamine and MDMA.

A short time later, Raptor Squad North officers conducted a crime scene warrant at a home in San Remo.

During the search, officers allegedly seized seven more firearms, ammunition, commercial quantities of prohibited drugs, two pill presses, drug paraphernalia and about $6500 cash.

Three men have since been charged and remain before the courts.

Following extensive inquiries, about 10am today (Thursday 16 July 2026) police arrested a 24-year-old man at Newcastle Police Station.

He was charged with 24 offences, including:

  • Two counts of supply prohibited drug greater than large commercial quantity
  • Supply prohibited drug greater than commercial quantity
  • Two counts of possess unregistered firearm-pistol
  • Possess unregistered firearm-pistol
  • Possess ammunition w/o holding licence/permit/authority
  • Possess unregistered firearm-prohibited firearm
  • Two counts of possess unregistered firearm-not pistol/prohibited firearm
  • Possess more than 3 unregistered firearms, 1 is prohibited/pistol
  • Three counts of use, supply, acquire, possess stolen firearm or part
  • Two counts of possess tablet press or drug encapsulator
  • Knowingly deal with proceeds of crime
  • Supply cannabis greater indictable & less than commercial quantity
  • Possess prohibited drug
  • Participate criminal group contribute criminal activity
  • Two counts of acquire pistol-subject to firearms prohibition order
  • Acquire prohibited firearm-subject prohibition order
  • Acquire ammunition subject to prohibition order

He was remanded in custody to appear at Bail Division Local Court 2 today (Thursday 16 July 2026).
