Raptor Squad officers have charged three teenagers and seized illicit drugs after stopping an allegedly stolen vehicle in Sydney’s west.
About 4.30am yesterday (Monday 7 September 2026), police were told two unknown men wearing balaclavas allegedly stole a Land Rover Discovery from a home in Kingsford.
Following extensive inquiries, about 2.20pm yesterday, Raptor Squad Highway Patrol officers stopped the vehicle on Macarthur Street, Fairfield East.
During a search of the vehicle and surrounding area, police allegedly seized 81g of methylamphetamine, 92g of cannabis, and three mobile phones.
Raptor Squad – with assistance from Fairfield City Police Area Command and the Eastern Beaches Proactive Crime Team – arrested three boys – two aged 17 and one aged 16 – who were all taken to Cabramatta Police Station.
A 17-year-old boy was charged with enter building/land with intent commit indictable offence, face blackened/disguised with intent to commit indictable offence, aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal less than $60,000, drive conveyance taken without consent of owner, possess prohibited drug, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
The second 17-year-old boy was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, possess prohibited drug, and breach of bail.
The 16-year-old boy was charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, face blackened/disguised with intent to commit indictable offence, and breach of bail.
All three teens were refused bail to appear at a children’s court today (Tuesday 8 September 2026).
