Police are re-appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the state’s south.
Michael Wunsch, aged 61, was last seen on Fretus Avenue, Woonona – about 8km north of Wollongong – about 4pm on Monday 7 September 2026.
When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Wollongong Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.
Police and family hold concerns for Michael’s welfare.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, of medium build, about 175cm tall with short grey hair, a grey beard, and brown eyes.
Police believe Michael may be in a white 1998 Ford Falcon station wagon with a distinctive black bulbar and registration MW127.
Inquiries have established that the vehicle was detected travelling south bound along the M1 Princess Motorway, Cataract, at 1.17pm on Thursday 10 September 2026.
Michael is known to frequent the South Coast area.
