Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang members arrested

Gang Crime Squad detectives have charged four men who are members of the Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) as a result of their investigation into an incident that occurred between 6pm and 7pm on 31 March 2019, in which a man was assaulted.

The victim is a man in his 30s who at the time of the incident was a Rebels OMCG Nominee, who wanted to leave the club.

The victim attended a home in Edgewater where it is alleged he was met by two patched members of the Rebels OMCG and a Rebels OMCG Nominee. It is alleged the three men assaulted the victim, punching him to the ground where he was kicked, stomped on and hit with a wooden pole.

It is further alleged the victim’s Harley Davidson motorcycle was stolen from him and he was threatened with further violence if he did not hand over several other vehicles including a Mercedes Benz sedan.

The victim was further threatened in relation to the demand for vehicles on 4 April 2019.

Gang Crime Squad detectives arrested the men yesterday, 5 April 2019 and charged them each with:-

• Demand Property by Oral Threats;

• Aggravated Armed Robbery;

• Act with Intent to Harm;

• Property Laundering;

• Detained Another with Intent to Gain a Benefit; and

• Aggravated Burglary with Intent.

A 38-year-old man from Edgewater (patched member), a 26-year-old man from Byford (patched member), a 24-year-old man from Camillo (nominee) and a 24-year-old man from Beechboro (nominee) are due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 6 April 2019.
