Parks Victoria has begun the process of rebuilding Hampton Pier and will first remove the old, deteriorating pier. It’s expected to take six weeks to complete.
If you’re visiting Sandringham Harbour, you’ll soon notice the works zone in place and contractors busy at work. To keep everyone safe, the works area will be fenced off and an exclusion zone in place on the water.
Removing the old pier will ensure a safer environment for water activities and visitors to the area as the busy summer months approach.
The new pier design is expected to be revealed to the community in 2024.
