Reckless Driving Incident At Longford

Following an ongoing investigation by Longford Police, a 31-year-old man will be proceeded against by summons for alleged reckless driving and providing a false report to police over a driving incident at Longford last month.

The incident on Thursday, 10 September, was captured on mobile phone camera and involved a white Nissan Navara being driven in a reckless manner.

Inspector Craig Fox said the manner of driving placed pedestrians and other road users at risk.

“This type of driving behaviour is extremely dangerous and unacceptable,” he said.

“The community is encouraged to report dangerous driving behaviour to police so an investigation can be conducted. Those responsible may be liable for arrest, charge, and forfeiture of vehicles.”

Police would like to thank members of the community who provided information that assisted with the investigation which resulted in the 31-year-old Longford man being issued with a summons.
