Today we pay our deepest respects to Tasmania’s service men and women who have represented our nation with courage and bravery, and remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Today, on ANZAC day, we join in voice and in spirit to say thank you.
While the challenges of coronavirus mean we cannot gather together to honour those who gave their lives to protect ours, I urge all Tasmanians today to pay their respects in their own special way.
Whether that is shining a light at dawn, or having a moment of quiet reflection, today is the day we celebrate the bravery and valour of those who have given their all to defend our state, our country and our way of life.
For those who have served and for those who have fallen.
