This week we focus on Australia’s higher education sector, with recommended reading from Dr John Wellard. As Policy Director International of Universities Australia (UA), the peak body for the university sector, representing 39 member universities, John is responsible for developing policy and services in support of Australian universities’ international activities. He believes the pandemic will continue to impact international student numbers, and that research, along with any changes to domestic policies regarding university relationships with foreign partners, will determine the sector’s recovery and renewal.
