Yesterday, Wednesday 6 September, Detectives from Task Force Southern travelled to the Mid North region to continue their search in relation to the ongoing investigation.
Police can confirm that human remains have been located on a property on Peak Road, Minvalara, south east of Orroroo, and are investigating if they are the remains of long term missing person Robert Atkins.
Detectives from Major Crime Investigation Branch are currently at the scene along with Forensic Response members, a Forensic Anthropologist and SES, and will provide an update later today.
