Remembrance Day 2019

Join us to commemorate Remembrance Day on Monday 11 November at a ceremony at Green Point, Brighton.

As is tradition, Australians will pause at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month to honour and remember those who have fought for our country.

The location of this service holds particular significance to the Bayside community. Green Point is home to the Brighton War Memorial, a heritage listed Cenotaph. The site was completed in 1927 as a memorial to local residents who lost their lives during World War 1. In recent times it has taken on a broader meaning to commemorate the sacrifice and service by Australians in other wars, conflicts and peacekeeping campaigns.

Everyone is welcome to attend the Remembrance Day Service at the Green Point Cenotaph on Monday 11 November.

If you would like to lay a wreath at the service, please register here.
