Renewed appeal for dashcam footage after Southbank fatal collision

Melbourne Highway Patrol are appealing for public assistance following a fatal collision in Southbank last week where a female motorcyclist lost her life.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a truck and motorcycle on Kings Way, on the ramp of the Westgate Freeway, about 4.50pm on Friday, 22 July.

The motorcyclist, a 52-year-old Altona North woman, died at the scene.

The male driver of the white Volvo Prime Mover, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, stopped at the scene.

Investigators also believe the driver of a large white truck, which was driving in the right lane next to the Volvo Prime Mover, can help with their enquiries.

As police continue to investigate the exact circumstances of the collision, they are appealing for any dashcam footage from motorists travelling on Kings Way just before the collision.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, has dashcam footage or further information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.auExternal Link
