Council has committed $2.2 million to replace water mains at 13 locations as part of an ongoing maintenance program.
The Annual Water Main Replacement Program involves the replacement of ageing and/or deteriorated water mains to maintain the structural integrity of the water network.
Selection of water mains to be replaced as part of the program are determined by the maintenance management system, which identifies where a water main has recorded a disruption to the water supply, and has logged more than three breaks in a two-year period.
Water mains at the following locations are scheduled for replacement:
- Russell St, Edge Hill
- West St, Manunda
- Miles St, Manoora
- Alberta Dr, Woree
- Mayers St, Manoora
- Dann St, Mooroobool
- Hutchings St, Bungalow
- Hellmuth St, Whitfield
- Hall St , Edge Hill
- Loridan Dr, Brinsmead
- McCoombe St, Mooroobool
- Vasey Esplanade (south side), Trinity Beach
