A new hotline is making it easier for licence and authority holders to notify the resource regulator of onsite reportable events and incidents.
Any unexpected event linked to operations that is likely to cause significant harm to individuals, the environment or operations must be reported to Resources Victoria as soon as possible.
Reportable incidents include fires, explosions, the failure of slopes or tailings dams, airborne rock from blasting, spillage of harmful substances and breaches of licence or work authority conditions.
