Reservoir Dogs Recovered During Search Warrant

Reservoir police officers have recovered three German Shepherds that were allegedly stolen from a Footscray property on Sunday.

Police located the dogs during a search warrant at a Burbank Drive property about 3am yesterday morning after an extended follow in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

During Operation Trinity patrols, Reservoir police officers observed an Audi sedan allegedly driving erratically before they attempted to intercept it on Dunne Street, Kingsbury about 2.30am on 6 November.

The Audi allegedly failed to stop on police direction and with the assistance of Air Wing, was successfully stop sticked on Lehmanns Road, Wollert about 3am.

The driver allegedly dumped the car and was arrested nearby by a Dog Squad unit shortly later.

Following further investigation of the 25-year-old Reservoir man, police uncovered information about the puppies.

He has been charged with theft, conduct endangering life, possess a drug of dependence and traffic offences.

He was remanded in custody to appear before the Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on 12 December.

A 36-year-old Reservoir woman was arrested at the Burbank Drive property while officers were executing the search warrant on 7 November.

She has been charged with handle stolen goods and was bailed to appear before the Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on 15 February 2025.

The shepherds, named Barbz, Shadow and Baby, will be reunited with their owner.
