Residents give heartfelt thanks to Carinity aged care staff

Aged Care Employee Day on August 7 was an opportunity for Carinity to officially recognise the dedicated professionals who support older Queenslanders entrusted into our care.

Speaking at Aged Care Employee Day celebrations at the Ipswich aged care home, they shared heartfelt words of appreciation on behalf of all the residents.
Jean, who has lived at Carinity Colthup Manor for two years, said the “very dedicated staff” at the seniors’ community “answer the call to our every need”.
“Thank you so much for being here for all of us who can no longer look after ourselves. Keep calm and carry on doing the wonderful job that you all do,” Jean said.
Having called Carinity Colthup Manor home since 2022, Noella said she and her fellow residents are “always treated respectfully” by “friendly caring staff”.
“Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. They are always happy to help where they can and always ready to go the extra mile – and do so cheerfully,” Noella said.

“It feels just like home when staff make our tea or coffee ‘just right’ and our toast is served ‘just how we like it’. These small things make a difference.”
Carinity Colthup Manor Residential Manager, Tuttu Mathew, thanked Jean and Noella for their kind and considered words on Aged Care Employee Day.
“Their messages were a beautiful reminder of how much our seniors value the love, compassion, and care provided by dedicated aged care workers every day,” Tuttu said.
Tuttu also thanked Carinity Colthup Manor’s dedicated team members, some of whom have worked at the home for 41 years.
“We are incredibly grateful for everything you do. We celebrate and recognise the amazing team that makes Colthup Manor such a special place and, most importantly, a warm and welcoming home for our residents.”
