Officers from Murray River Police District are currently investigating a number of break and enters in the Albury, Lavington and Thurgoona areas in recent weeks.

Murray River Police District Acting Inspector Chris Wallace said the festive season is an opportunistic time for thieves.

“Please make sure that homes are locked and secure, that security systems, doors, windows, alarms and lights are properly installed and activated. Keep all valuables out of clear view and if you notice anything suspicious or out of place, contact police or Crime Stoppers.”
