Revocation of police officer stood down in South Eastern Region, QLD

A 45-year-old male constable from South Eastern Region, who was previously stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service, has now been reinstated to perform operational duties.

The officer was the subject of an investigation regarding the driving of his private motor vehicle while under the influence of liquor, unauthorised access to the Queensland Police Service computer system and conflict of interest.

As a result, he was issued with a notice to appear before the Cleveland Magistrates Court in relation to a charge of driving whilst under the influence of liquor which was finalised by way of his plea of guilty on November 6, 2017.

The other matters were dealt with through the Queensland Police Service internal discipline proceedings process and have now been finalised.
