Rhyll Jetty lands an upgrade

Bass Coast Shire Council’s Capital Works Program is continuing, with a great community project recently completed at Rhyll.

The Rhyll Jetty has had a fibre mesh decking, which is made from recycled materials, installed on top of the existing concrete deck.

This new surface will help maintain the integrity of the concrete decking structure and provide safety for all users of the jetty, by providing a non-slip surface.

The work was completed as part of Council’s 2019/20 Capital Works Program for renewal of marine structures within the Shire. The work was carried out to ensure the structure remains safe and can continued to be used by the community until the facility receives a major upgrade, to be delivered by Better Boating Victoria.

The cost of the work was around $12,000 and was fully funded by Council.
