Sex Assault Squad detectives have charged a 23-year-old man as a result of their investigation into an incident that occurred on Friday, 26 June 2020.
Around 4.30am, a woman ordered a ride-share vehicle and was collected from a location in Victoria Park. It is alleged during the journey the driver sexually assaulted the woman.
The 23-year-old man from Balga has been charged with:
• Two counts of Unlawful and Indecent Assault; and
• Three counts of Sexual Penetration without Consent.
He is next due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday, 27 July 2020.
Police have notified the relevant ride-share companies and the Department of Transport of the arrest.
