Ride to remember

Lucky partners will have the chance to be married at Australia’s most iconic Amusement Park with the NSW Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages (the Registry) launching its exclusive Brides on Rides micro-wedding package.

Customers can enjoy the thrill of saying “I do” with the Registry hosting micro-weddings in the Palais at the heritage listed Sydney Luna Park on 25 March 2022.

NSW Registrar Amanda Ianna said Luna Park was one of Sydney’s most sought-after wedding locations with its unrivalled views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.

“There’s nothing quite like it. From the moment you enter through the famous entry Luna Park is bursting with fun, Ms Ianna said.

“The day is entirely customisable. Newlyweds can keep it simple or opt to have their bridal party partake in an unforgettable photo shoot on the heritage carousel at Luna Park.

“Following the formalities couples can hold their reception in Amphora, a wine bar in Luna Park which boasts the same breathtaking views as Palais, with a wine list and menu to match.”

Luna Park forms part of the Heritage and Country collection of micro-wedding venues available to book through the Registry on select dates from March-June 2022. Venues include Sergeants Mess in Mosman, The Old Clare Hotel and Chateau Elan at The Vintage in the Hunter Valley.

“This is the first time the Registry has offered a micro wedding service in the Hunter Valley and we are excited to offer 10 lucky couples the chance to marry in the beautiful stone Carriage House at Chateau Elan, nestled amongst rolling vineyards and manicured fairways,” Ms Ianna said.

Wedded couples will also have the chance to re-exchange vows at Luna Park, Chateau Elan and other locations, with the Registry offering vow renewal services across selected micro-wedding venues in 2022.

Ms Ianna said couples could select a stunning location with the Registry to provide the celebrant and personalised vow renewal ceremony.

“Vow renewal ceremonies offer wedded couples the opportunity to reaffirm their commitment to each other, without any of the legal requirements,” Ms Ianna said.

“Some couples may renew their vows as a memorable way to celebrate a milestone anniversary, while others use the ceremony to honour their marriage.”

The Registry’s micro-weddings and vow renewal packages also offer couples the chance to have their ceremony at different iconic venues across NSW including Sydney Harbour BridgeClimb, Bondi Icebergs, Vaucluse House, Clovelly Surf club, Mereweather Surfhouse in Newcastle, and Wollongong Golf Course.

With 35 people or less, the intimate style of ceremony allows couples to book an affordable and personalised package at an unforgettable location. The exact number of guests will be subject to the Public Health Orders of the day.

All-inclusive packages start at $1,049 and take care of all legal requirements, including a ceremony, ceremony styling, a celebrant, lodgement of notice of intention to marry, as well as a standard and commemorative wedding certificate.
