Robbery and theft in Eastern suburbs, South Australia

Police are investigating a robbery and a related theft that occurred in the eastern suburbs this afternoon.

About 2.45pm on Tuesday 3 December, Eastern District patrols were called to a service station on Greenhill Road at Linden Park after a man entered the store armed with two saws, threatened staff and stole cigarettes. He was last seen walking east on Greenhill Road.

The staff member was not physically injured during the incident.

About 45 minutes later, police were called to a hotel on Glynburn Road, after reports a man entered the hotel with two saws and stole a bottle of alcohol before leaving the area on foot.

The suspect is described as having tanned skin, about 25-years-old, 180cm tall, with a lean build and facial hair. He was wearing a navy blue hooded jacket, dark coloured pants, black shoes and carrying a brown backpack and two saws.

A search of the areas failed to locate the suspects and investigations are continuing.
