Police are investigating after armed offenders robbed and assaulted a man at a residence in Logan Reserve overnight.
At around 11pm a 24-year-old man went into the back yard of a home on Lake Amaroo Court to investigate a noise when he was confronted by a group of men all dressed in black carrying baseball bats and other weapons.
The man was punched and kicked before being forced back inside the residence where he was threatened with a firearm.
The group then blindfolded the victim with a towel while they ransacked the home and took a sum of money as well as personal items, before fleeing.
The man managed to seek assistance from neighbours who notified police.
He was transported to Logan Hospital with multiple injuries including bruising and suspected fractures.
Investigations are continuing.
