Robbery with violence, Mount Gravatt East, Woodridge and Capalaba

Police are investigating a series of linked robberies overnight around Brisbane and Logan areas.

At around 10:20 pm yesterday, at a Mount Gravatt East address, a 28-year-old man was set upon by three Caucasian men as he arrived home in his white Toyota Carolla sedan, bearing Queensland registration 881 LZP. One of the men threatened the 28-year-old with a firearm, removed him from the vehicle and physically assaulted him.

It is believed the vehicle was then used, at about 12:04 am, in an attempted robbery of a service station on Compton Road Woodridge where a man and a woman unsuccessfully tried to break through the front window with a hammer.

At about 12:30 am, police responded to reports of an armed robbery at a service station in Johnson Road, Woodridge. There two offenders entered the service station by smashing the glass doors the male threatened the console operator with a firearm demanding cash and cigarettes. The female also threatened the console operator with a crowbar. They fled in the vehicle with cash and cigarettes in a vehicle linked to the prior two incidents.

Police were then called to another linked armed robbery at a service station on Mount Cotton Road, Capalaba at around 2:15 am where the offenders smashed their way inside, produced a firearm and demanded cash and cigarettes. They then fled with a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

Police are seeking any witnesses or dash-cam footage from anyone who was driving in these areas and times to contact police.

Police investigations are continuing.
