Rosewater home targeted, South Australia

Residents in a Rosewater home has been targeted for the second time in as many nights with molotov cocktails thrown at the home this morning.

Just after 4.30am on Friday 1 March, residents on Addison Road woke to hear noises coming from the front of their house. On investigation two men were seen throwing several molotov cocktails in small green bottles at the home, one of which hit the female resident in the head.

The two men then ran north to a light coloured sedan possibly an early model Toyota Camry and drove from the area.

Police attended to find up to seven or eight bottles had been thrown at the home, all scattered around the front yard and roof. The small fires had been extinguished by the home owners before MFS had arrived, with scorch marks left on the porch and roof.

This is the second attack on the home in as many days with police investigating the motive for the attack.

The woman in her 40’s that was hit by the bottle had a small cut to the ears she was treated the scene by ambulance officers but didn’t require hospital treatment.

Western District CIB are investigating with crime scene examiners attending this morning.
