Rostrevor family’s dinner fund turns into $2.2 million feast

Saturday lotto is proudly played across Australia under the brands Gold Lotto, Lotto, TattsLotto and X Lotto, bringing winning moments to players nationwide.

A Rostrevor family syndicate stretching across generations, with members in their twenties through to their eighties, has finally come forward almost a month after the draw to claim their $2.2 million Saturday X Lotto prize.

The Adelaide players held one of the nine division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 4697 on Saturday 25 July 2026. Each division one winning entry pocketed $2,222,222.23, delivering a personal payday to each syndicate member of $370,370.37.

As the group had not registered their ticket to a player card or online account, officials from The Lott had no way of contacting them about their fortune and had to wait for them to check their ticket and come forward.

“We can’t believe it!” one of the winning family members cheered.

“It took us a little longer to come forward because there’s six of us. We’re a family syndicate and our ages span from our twenties right through to our eighties.

“It’s funny, we only set up the syndicate with the intention to all stay connected. We’d put whatever money we won into a kitty so we could use it for dinners and catch ups. Honestly we never expected to actually win!

“We’re all so excited. It’s especially nice to share in this moment together. It’s been great to have a giggle and chat about it all.

“For me, a house is something I’ve been working towards for a while so it’s a huge help.

“Thank you so much!

Their winning entry was sold at Rostrevor Pharmacy, Shop 1, 161 St Bernards Road, Rostrevor.
