Round two of councils Community Grants awarded

Campaspe Shire Council is delighted to announce the successful recipients of Community Grants Program Round Two. The Grants Program offers financial assistance to a diverse range of projects and initiatives that contribute to the social, cultural, environmental, and economic development of the Campaspe community.

Council received numerous applications for funding, each displaying the passion and dedication of local groups and individuals towards improving our vibrant community.

The grants that were awarded in Round Two include:

Community Grants

  • Kyabram AH&P Society Inc. was awarded $2,000 for purchasing a new photocopier.
  • Welton Recreation Reserve was granted $2,702 to go towards Recreation Reserve toilet block improvements.
  • Stanhope and District Development Committee Inc. received $4,000 to assist with the establishment of a driveway and pathway to make the community garden accessible for all ages and abilities.
  • Rochester Basketball Association Inc. received $2,160 for the Referee Program, supporting juniors to become basketball referees.
  • Girgarre Community Group Inc. was granted $2,188 to contribute towards the edible garden for Girgarre residents.
  • Colbinabbin Lawn Bowling Club Inc. was awarded $4,000 to go towards concreting the uneven path at the north end of the bowls club.
  • Echuca Bowls Club Inc. received $3,500 to contribute towards the refurbishment of the outdoor entertainment area.
  • Echuca Moama Theatre Company Inc. received $3,808 to purchase LED light fittings.
  • Echuca Moama Apex Club Inc. was granted $4,000 to assist with creating a community garden at Crossenvale Community House.
  • Rushworth Community House Inc. was awarded $3,419 to develop a sustainable garden to grow fresh produce.
  • Echuca Regional Health was granted $1,000 to purchase clothing for the Patient Clothing Program for vulnerable patients.
  • Echuca Moama Broadcast Service Inc. EMFM104.7 received $4,000 to install sound dampening insulation.
  • Bamawm Lockington United Cricket Club Inc. received $4,000 to assist with constructing an equipment storage shed.
  • Rushworth Golf Club Inc. was awarded $4,000 to purchase a golf cart and trailer.
  • Rochester Mural Festival (Committee 4 Rochester Inc.) was granted $1,800 to purchase paint for upcoming murals.
