Between 3 July and 11 August your rubbish bin lid will be changed from dark green to red, to comply with the Victorian State Government policy.
During this period, please leave your rubbish bin out from 6am to 6 pm on your collection day until your lid is changed.
It is important you don’t bring your bin in any earlier than 6pm on collection day as it ensures our waste team has access to your bin to make the lid switch during the day.
The change is part of our Community Waste and Resource Recovery Plan, which will also introduce a weekly food and garden organics collection service from 2 October 2023. This new service will reduce valuable material going to landfill and help to reduce harmful greenhouse gases.
