The ACT and Southern NSW Rugby Super 7s junior tournament is returning to Wagga Wagga on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 2026 at Conolly Park.
The Super 7s tournament brings together clubs from Southern Inland, the South Coast, Monaro, the ACT and surrounding regions for a weekend of junior rugby union.
Registrations are open to boys’ and girls’ teams for Under 13s, Under 15s and Under 17s.
Council’s Recreation Coordinator Joshua Walsh said the partnership between Wagga Wagga City Council and ACT & SNSW Brumbies has been ongoing.
“This is the sixth consecutive year that the ACT and Southern NSW Rugby Super 7s junior tournament is being held in Wagga Wagga,” Mr Walsh said.
“It’s also the second year the tournament is being played at Conolly Park, with some games to be played under lights.
“The Super 7s tournament boosts participation in junior Rugby Union within the region and with approximately 1500 players, officials and spectators visiting it provides a substantial boost for the local economy.”
ACT & SNSW Rugby Development Officer Reilly Waugh-Smith said ACT & SNSW Brumbies are very excited to be hosting the Super 7s in Wagga Wagga once again.
“Having been a player at one of the early Super 7s in Wagga Wagga, to now organising the tournament, it has been amazing to see the growth of the event,” Mr Waugh-Smith said.
“With over 40 teams currently registered for this year’s tournament, we’re expecting an amazing weekend of rugby sevens.
“We are pleased to continue collaborating with Council in providing opportunities for talented young athletes to showcase their skills and immerse themselves and their families in the amazing community that is Wagga Wagga.”
The ACT and Southern NSW Rugby Super 7s junior tournament will be held at Conolly Park, Wagga Wagga, on Saturday 31 October – Sunday 1 November 2026.
