Run to paradise at Logan Village Green

Run to paradise at Logan Village Green

The normally tranquil lawns of the Logan Village Green will be rocked by the sounds of Aussie legends The Choirboys later this month.

The band behind Run to Paradise and Boys Will be Boys is the headline act for the first Village FEST, an initiative of the Logan Country Chamber of Commerce and proudly sponsored by Logan City Council.

In addition to The Choirboys local acts including Stateside, Forever Road, Ruby Jo, Chester, Angie Grace and Bad Neighbour will also take the stage.

Away from the music there’ll be the Logan Regional Producers Market as well as delicious fresh food in the wine and dine zone.

Logan Country Chamber of Commerce vice president Chyerl Pridham said the Village Green is the perfect venue for a concert.

“We’re really hoping to make it an annual event so I’m urging Logan to get behind it and come along,” Ms Pridham said.

“It’ll also give local bands greater exposure.

“There’s so much great talent out there and putting them on the same stage as The Choirboys will give them an audience that they may not otherwise get.”

Village FEST is one of a suite of ideas that came from last year’s Logan Village Forum and it aims to further activate the Village Green space.

The aim of the forum was to guide development in the area over the next 20 years and allow Logan Village to cater for the needs of its existing and future residents.

Village FEST starts at noon on Saturday, August 31.

Early bird tickets are now on sale and can be purchased at logancountrychamber.com.au/village-fest-2019/
