Rural Land Use and Activities Review underway

A Rural Land Use and Activities Review to help inform future planning decisions in our small towns and rural areas is underway with the first drop in session to be held on Tuesday 6 August in Tooborac.

Drop in sessions will also be held in Pyalong, Tallarook, Waterford Park/Clonbinane and Reedy Creek.

Council is seeking community input on an Issues and Opportunities paper which focuses on farming and agriculture industry, environment and landscapes, rural living opportunities, small townships and rural tourism and economy.

To provide input to the paper, please visit www.engagingmitchellshire.com or a Customer and Library Service Centre before 9am on Monday 9 September.

People can also attend a drop in session to learn more and provide input at one of the following locations:

  • Tuesday 6 August, 4pm – 7pm at Tooborac Mechanics Hall
  • Wednesday 14 August, 4pm – 7pm at Pyalong Neighbourhood House
  • Thursday 15 August, 4pm – 7pm at Tallarook Hotel
  • Tuesday 20 August, 4pm – 7pm at Clonbinane Community Hall
  • Thursday 22 August, 4pm – 7pm at Reedy Creek Public Hall
