SA begins to lift restrictions

The Government of South Australia today announced the easing of restrictions in South Australia with Step 1 commencing on Monday 11 May.

We are excited at the prospect of reopening our service provision and reconnecting with our community in a more personal way. We are currently assessing the impact on service delivery, public spaces and Council facilities in order to facilitate a planned reopening of service centres and resumption of service provision.

Prior to announcing the re-opening of specific services centres, libraries or facilities, Council will work to ensure the safety of staff and the community. This will also include careful consideration of the impacts on volunteers, vulnerable members of our community and mobile services.

Social distancing guidelines of one person per four square metres and restricted gatherings of up to ten people are in place during Step 1 and must be taken into consideration when planning for any changes implemented next week.
