At Council’s Ordinary Council Meeting on 4 November 2025, Hawkesbury City Council resolved to sell a number of properties for unpaid rates and charges, in accordance with sections 713 and 715 of the Local Government Act 1993.
Notice is hereby given that the public auction of the properties previously advertised in the NSW Government Gazette No. 270 of 3 July 2026, scheduled to be held on 31 August 2026, has been cancelled to allow Council to undertake further due diligence and verification of the properties.
The auction has been cancelled to allow Council to undertake further due diligence and verification of the properties, including the confirmation of cadastral boundaries, access arrangements, survey information, title and ownership details and associated property information, prior to determining the appropriate next steps in the sale process.
The Council resolution to sell the properties remains in force. The cancellation of the scheduled auction does not affect Council’s resolution, and the properties may be offered for sale by public auction at a future date following completion of further due diligence and verification.
