Does your family love a mystery? Do your kids have a nose for solving clues?

Then the Hobsons Bay Easter Scavenger Hunts are just the thing for you this school holidays.

The scenario is simple. The Easter Bunny has lost his eggs and is enlisting the help of local families to follow the clues to help him find them.

There will be three scavenger hunts across Hobsons Bay – in Altona, Altona Meadows and Williamstown – and eight eggs to find in the windows of businesses in each area.

Start by collecting your gamecard at the Altona, Altona Meadows or Williamstown libraries and follow the clues available on the Storytowns podcast app or from the Experience Hobsons Bay website.

Find all the eggs and submit your gamecard for a chance to win one of three $50 prize hampers. The scavenger hunts run from 3-17 April 2023.

Mayor of Hobsons Bay, Cr Tony Briffa, said this competition would continue the great tradition of Easter egg scavenger hunts.

“Kids and families love them, and this competition takes them to a fun new level while exploring our local area,” she said.

“Local businesses are the lifeblood of our community and this is a great way to get more people visiting them over the school holiday period, while having a bit of fun at the same time.

“We are committed to supporting our local business community and this is a fantastic initiative that will encourage locals and visitors to check out the quality business precincts we have in Altona, Altona Meadows and Williamstown.”
