Scholarships named in honour of Meng Fei launched in China

Curtin University has launched the Meng Fei Innovative Future Leadership Scholarship program during an event in Nanjing, China.

The scholarship program is named after Meng Fei, the host of one of the world’s biggest television shows If You Are The One, which has also been aired on Australia’s SBS.

During the Chinese launch of the scholarship, Meng Fei said he was delighted to work with Curtin on the initiative to enable many students to receive a world-class education from a highly ranked university.

“I hope the scholarship can help students in Australia and China to achieve their dreams and I hope that more Chinese students can learn about Curtin University and choose Curtin University,” Meng Fei said.

Curtin University Deputy Vice-Chancellor International Professor Seth Kunin said the scholarship is an excellent initiative to attract high achieving students as future leaders and innovators.

“Curtin’s world ranking and reputation in leadership and innovation makes this a unique opportunity to partner with Meng Fei,” Professor Kunin said.

“Meng Fei achieved international stardom through his work in media and journalism as well as the entertainment industry.

“This scholarship seeks students who have achieved exceptional academic results and have been deemed by Meng Fei as having demonstrated truly innovative leadership qualities.”

The Meng Fei Innovative Future Leader Scholarship program was launched at a ceremony in Nanjing, China in recognition of the Perth-Nanjing sister city relationship.
