On Friday 25 March, Ringwood Golf is hosting a Get Into Golf EastLink Community Golf Day, providing a great opportunity for golf beginners to experience all that golf has to offer.
From 1pm, the family-friendly event includes free activities such as rounds of golf, coaching clinics for all age groups, virtual reality swing tester and a mini golf course for the whole family to enjoy.
The on-course café will also be open, serving snacks and treats to enjoy throughout the day.
Councillor Mike Symon, Mayor of Maroondah, will be one of the many familiar faces at the event.
“Golf is a great way to stay active and meet new people in the community.
“In Maroondah we are fortunate to have two of the top publicly-owned golf courses in Victoria – Dorset Golf and Ringwood Golf, both operated by Maroondah Leisure.
“Our Golf Professional, and community coaches offer a range of ladies, mens, seniors and junior golf programs that can help you to learn about the game, improve your swing or even advance into competition golf.
“So come down, bring the family and have a putt on our fantastic course,” Cr Symon said.
Bookings are required for golf rounds and clinics on the day, with limited places.
