Officers from Strike Force Vulcan are investigating the circumstances surrounding a scrub fire in the Warwick Open Space yesterday, Wednesday 26 January 2023.
About 6.55pm, Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to extinguish the scrub fire that was burning in the Open Space on Wanneroo Road near the intersection of Beach Road in Warwick.
Strike Force Vulcan officers believe the fire was deliberately lit and urge anyone who was travelling on Wanneroo Road or west on Beach Road between 6.30pm and 7.15pm who has dash-cam vision, or who saw any suspicious activity in the area, to come forward.
