Scrub fires – Mirrabooka

Strike Force Vulcan officers are investigating a series of small scrub fires near Apple Blossom Polyantha Reserve and Pagoda Reserve in Mirrabooka.

The first fire was reported to Department of Fire and Emergency Services about 7pm on Friday, 4 March 2022. The following fires were reported between 3pm and 4.30pm on Saturday, 5 March 2022.

The fires were in close proximity to several homes which posed a significant safety risk to residents. The cause of the fires is unknown at this time.

Anyone with information relating to these fires, is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au. Rewards of up to $25,000 are available for information that leads to the identification and conviction of an arsonist.
