Search and Rescue: Missing man in East Trinity, QLD

A search and rescue operation for a man believed missing in bushland in East Trinity has entered its third day.

Police located a white 2009 Toyota Hilux utility belonging to 39-year-old Freshwater man Rohan Huddy on Wednesday April 12 following reports from a member of the public, and the immediate area was searched, however Rohan could not be located.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare as he has a medical condition and his disappearance is out of character.

Rohan is Caucasian, 178cm tall with short brown hair and eyes with a light moustache.

The search party included numerous State Emergency Services volunteers and aerial assets, including fixed wing and rotary aircraft, supported by drones.

As part of their inquiries, police are seeking information relating to an e-mountain bike which belonged to Rohan.

Members of the public who may have seen, been given or purchased the distinctive and highly specialised Tracer 279 Expert are urged to come forward to help police establish Rohan’s movements.

Landholders in the vicinity of East Trinity and surrounds are urged to check their yards and properties, including sheds and under houses for signs of Rohan.

The search will continue tomorrow including land and aerial assets.
